Custom designed access gate for Storgata 25

 

As part of our renovation work for Storgata 25, Various Architects has designed a new security gate for the building entrance. The newly mounted, stainless steel gate is designed to be a modern addition to the building's classical stone facade. Stainless steel bars that are spaced according to the joints in the stones make a frame for alternating plates of solid and perforated steel. The relationship between solid and perforated allow views into the port room while forming a secure barrier for unwanted guests along Storgata, a heavily trafficked downtown street.

 

One small, but usefull step on the way to renovating the entire building. Our design sketches were transformed into welded stainless steel with integrated electronic keypad and motorized opening mechanism by Autogen, Oslo.
