Tingvalla Competition Delivered

Results announced in late January.

Various Architects has delivered an entry in the open Norwegian architecture competition for the Tingvalla Pier located at Aker Brygge in Oslo. Norwegian Property (NPRO) invited young architects to participate in an open competition for a new restaurant and service buildings on Tingvallautsikkeren.

(NPRO) intends to create an iconic building that gives Aker Brygge new needed qualities - both in terms of function and experience. The project should be part of the public movements in Aker Brygge. The design solutions and materials must be environmentally responsible.

The total area of Tingvallautstikkeren is 2,750 m2. The building should have a maximum gross area of 1,000 m2.

 

Due to the anonymous nature of the competition designes will not be published until after the announcement of a winner in late January 2009.
