Guldberg Building Permit Approved
Various architects collaborated on a high-end residential project in central Oslo, near the attractive Frogner Park.
The concept focuses on creating a cohesive development while preserving privacy and individuality for each apartment. The design maximizes daylight and offers attractive views across Oslo, while maintaining a contemporary architectural expression. A large oak tree has been carefully preserved and influenced the placement of one of the buildings on the site. Its southern façade curves around the canopy, linking architecture and landscape while retaining the area’s green character.
The buildings are defined by simple, refined forms enriched with detailed façades and a varied material palette. Brick cladding and offset volumes create a timeless character, reduce the perceived scale, and give the development a more intimate, small-house quality.
The project consists of two phases. Phase one comprises two distinctive residential buildings with modern architecture and practical, functional layouts. Each building contains three apartments, organized around central entrances that separate private bedroom areas from living spaces. The buildings complement each other both architecturally and functionally, and share an underground parking garage.
Phase two comprises a third building with three additional apartments and its own parking garage. Each apartment enjoys the same qualities of views, direct sunlight, and a close connection to green outdoor areas, while maintaining a high degree of privacy.
The municipality of Oslo has now approved the building permit for phase two. We look forward to commencing construction on this unique project.
